Online invitation company Evite Inc. It is moving its headquarters to Glendale later this year.
The firm is moving into a 23,000-square-foot building at 310 East Colorado St. during the fourth quarter.
Evite builds studios on its property to create its content.
“Glendale is an ideal location for us,” said Jason Wu, president of EVITE, in a statement. “It’s a business-friendly city, which is why many tech companies have set up their headquarters here. We appreciate what this new environment has to offer. It’s safe with excellent walking, and the city’s layout has excellent accessibility.
Other tech companies in the area include LegalZoom, Age of Learning and ServiceTitan.
Evite is growing. Earlier this year, the company announced a new name and hired.
“We deeply value our people, so it’s important to us to build an office that’s comfortable for working and collaborating, and for our employees to enjoy spending time here,” Wu added. “Glendale aligns with our values, and we are excited to have the opportunity to be involved in the community from a service perspective.”
Glendale Mayor Ardi Kasakian said in a statement that the company is “a boon for Glendale’s growing technology sector and vibrant business community.”
“Evite is one of the first and most successful online event planning platforms and is synonymous with parties, festivals and other important touch events,” he said.
Bradley Calvert, the city’s director of community development, added that Glendale is working to grow its “creative ecosystem.”
“Our strategic plan focuses on attracting and growing the local technology industry. That’s why we have proactive programs to encourage more industry growth and continue to support organizations like EVIT,” he said in a statement.
