Seoul Fashion Week will feature 33 Korean masons this week

Seoul Fashion Week, South Korea’s largest bi-annual fashion week, kicks off a five-day run this week to showcase 33 Korean fashion houses, from well-known brands to up-and-coming labels.

The 2023 spring-summer fashion show will be held in person from tomorrow until Saturday at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in central Seoul, Seoul city government officials said.

In the year It is the first Seoul Fashion Week to be held entirely in person since the start of the 2020 Covid-19 pandemic, which has moved the show entirely or partially online.

This year’s event will feature runway shows from 33 Korean fashion houses featuring famous names such as Park Chon-moo and Lee Sang-bong, as well as young designers.

High-profile fashion models such as Han Hye-jin and Cha Seung-won are slated to walk the runway, while Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon and actor and Seoul Fashion Week ambassador Kwon Sang-woo sit in the audience.

The event will include shows featuring clothes made from eco-friendly or recycled fabrics, as well as a trade show that will connect Korean fashion houses with domestic and overseas buyers, the city said.
