Who is playing?
Wofford @ Virginia Tech
Current records: Wofford 0-2; Virginia Tech 1-1
What to know
The Wofford Terriers are staring at a wide 38-point deficit heading into Saturday’s game. They head to Lane Stadium/Worsham Field on the road to face the Virginia Tech Hokies at 11 a.m. ET on Saturday.
After last week’s 26 loss at the hands of Elon Phoenix, Wofford must be hurt.
Meanwhile, Virginia Tech had enough points to win and some of that in last week’s 27-10 win over the Boston College Eagles. Hokies RB Keshaun King filled the stat sheet, with one rushing touchdown. That touchdown — a 65-yard rush in the second quarter — was one of the highlights of the game.
Virginia Tech’s defense was also a presence as BC’s offensive line embarrassed the quarterback six times for a loss of 45 yards overall. Leading the way was DL Taijun Garbutt and his two sacks. Those were Garbott’s first sacks.
Virginia Tech’s win dropped them to 1-1, while Wofford’s loss dropped them to 0-2. We’ll see if Virginia Tech can repeat their recent success or if the Terriers can bounce back and reverse their fortunes.
