Debuting on the JW Anderson runway during Milan Fashion Week, the amphibious clogs (in yellow, blue and classic slim green) were created in collaboration with British rain boot manufacturer Wellpets. and Prince William in their youth. In the year A 1987 photo of Harry with Princess Diana hanging on his elbow while the frogs legs dangled below was published in British papers.
For Anderson, the cultural reference is “home,” comforting and rooted in “childhood memories,” he said in a news release.

Instead of the welliepet’s typical tall boot shape, originally designed for children, JW Anderson’s shorter, slip-on version looks like a mule.
It was a fun moment in the label’s new collection, which featured a model decked out in tomato-themed tattoos carrying a white pillow, as well as a minimal runway look.

Andersen’s surrealist flare was also embraced at the front of the Milan scene – influencer Hendrik Geissler arrived in a black crew-neck T-shirt pierced with half-open ring-pulling can lids. It was a star-studded audience of Italian celebrities, including White Lotus star Sabrina Impacchitore in a kitschy, sunset-print jumpsuit from the label’s latest collection and “Bones and All” director Luca Guadagnino in a cozy beige zip-up suit.
