Jennifer Chirico has joined Tech as its new Vice President of Sustainability.
On October 17, Jennifer Chirico will join Infrastructure & Sustainability (I&S) as Associate Vice President of Sustainability. Originally from Atlanta, Chirico brings 20 years of sustainability experience to the institute. She holds her Ph.D. Major in Environmental Policy in Public Policy, Masters in Public Health, Major in Environmental Health, and BS in Management – all from Georgia Tech.
“I am excited to return to Georgia Tech to share my experiences and expertise in sustainability. In my opinion, the people at Georgia Tech are the foundation and what makes it great,” Chirico said. “I hope to serve as a link and bridge to help the university become a world-class, sustainable institution known for its student programs, clean energy, net zero initiatives, zero waste and climate justice growth and innovation.”
In this inaugural role, Chirico will help lead the implementation of the Institute’s Sustainability Plan and Climate Action Plan, as well as the future of sustainability at Georgia Tech.
