Richmond, Va. — Richmond Athletics announced Tuesday that Mike Pagano has been named Assistant Athletic Director for Business. Pagano joins Richmond athletics after seven years in the financial aid office at the University of Richmond, including four years as assistant director of financial aid. In that role, Pagano was responsible for reviewing and awarding student financial aid applications, managing the on-campus student employment program and serving as a liaison between financial aid and athletics.

A native of Morristown, NJ, Pagano moved to Richmond in 2014 and started at the University of Richmond in 2015. He is survived by his wife Stacey, sons Luke and Drew, and daughter Lauren.

Pagano in 2010. He earned a Master of Divinity degree in 2006 from Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Ky. His undergraduate degree is from Macy College in Grantham, Pa., where he was a four-year player and two-year captain on men’s lacrosse. group. Pagano has coached lacrosse at the youth and high school levels for more than 20 years, including a stint as the varsity assistant boys lacrosse coach at Mills E. Gowin High School in Henrico since 2015.
