Emmys 2022: The best fashion from the red carpet
Returning to the Microsoft Theater for the first time since 2019, the Primetime Emmy Awards welcomed some of television’s biggest names to the red carpet.
The red carpet turned gold for the evening, and attendees from “Severance” actress Britt Lored to Amanda Seyfried at the Armani preview opted for glittery or sequined ensembles to match. Among them, Lily James stood out in a bronze metallic mesh Versace dress, while Christina Ricci stunned in a shimmery Fendi dress.
There were also pastel pops. Ariana DeBose’s wowed in an ethereal lavender gown featuring cutouts and floral embellishments, and “Lowjackets” star Melanie Lynskey wore a green tulle gown by Christian Siriano.
Many of the men of the evening played it safe in classic tuxedos and tailored suits (except for the bare-chested Jarrod Carmichael). Bowen Young and Himesh Patel both brought their collections to life with patterned jackets, and “Ted Lasso” star Tohib Jimoh’s outfit featured a dangling waist tie.
How about an unexpected menswear look for the evening? All-white – or all-cream – ideal. Nicholas Brown and Andrew Garfield (Dior Men and Zegna, respectively) were joined by Seth Rogen and John Legend in embracing the trend.
