MIAMI, October 12, 2022 (Newswire.com) –
Nu, the Miami-based genderless fashion label known for its seasonal designs, returns to the Bauhaus for its latest “FRATERNITÉ” collection.
With bold lines, elegant color schemes, and exciting new fabrics, Nu’s latest collection pays homage to the early modernist masters of the early 20th-century European art movement, which evoked spontaneity, spontaneity, and sensuality. The 27 SKUs in the collection include cute mini dresses and structured vests, as well as polo shirts and jackets that play on traditional American apparel. Following the brand’s continuing traditional tailoring techniques, they are all designed to mix and match with unique and colorful garments from existing collections.
After debuting their previous two collections at New York Fashion Week, Nu FRATERNITÉ debuted at Paris Fashion Week on October 2nd at La Galerie Bourbon. The collection is available now at comeonworld.com with further online launches at Come On’s retail partners, Flying Solo in the US and Wolf & Badger in the UK, to come. Brick-and-mortar retail debuts followed with Flying Solo in Soho, New York, and Wolf & Badger in London.
Nu has long taken inspiration from the creative modern art of the early 20th century, particularly Surrealism. For FRATERNITÉ, they return to two incredibly important groups, both of which recently celebrated their centennials: the provocative, proto-surrealist Dada movement and the short-lived, but deeply influential Bauhaus school of design. The DNA of Dada artists such as Marcel Duchamp and Man Ray is woven into the new collection’s provocative garments, while straight lines and minimal designs bear witness to the lasting legacy of the German Academy of Art. Following in the footsteps of Bauhaus master Walter Gropius, Nu is committed to making great design an essential part of everyday life.
Like every collection, Nu is committed to building sustainability into the process, making clothes that last beyond current trend cycles, and creating responsible products for responsible consumers. The brand uses vintage fabrics and pieces from previous collections to create new designs, emphasizing durability, versatility and longevity. Nu clothing is timeless and trend-resistant, changing from season to season and collection to collection.
