University of Utah Health now offers Spanish language version MyChart Patient Portal. U of U Health is the first major health care system in the state to offer patient check-in in Spanish.
Spanish-speaking patients can now connect with their healthcare providers to ask questions, manage appointments and receive healthcare notifications.
“MyChart is a great tool to help patients stay informed about their own health care and better connect with their health care providers,” he said. Michael Strong, MDChief Medical Information Officer at U Health. “Now our Spanish-speaking patients receive the same valuable services in their native language, helping them become active participants in their own health care.
The patient portal also allows patients to view their test results, pay their medical bills and request medical bills, all in their native language.
“Effective and personalized communication is one of the things we constantly struggle with,” says Marie Ransko, senior director of patient experience at U Health. “Engaging U Health patients in their own language is essential to providing the best care for our community and region.”
The Spanish version of MyChart is available to all U Health patients.
