Like my job, I scour Amazon’s seemingly endless product pages during Prime Day to find the best deals (for a reason), which means I know instantly what to add to my cart and what to skip. No pressure rules here. Instead, much like their beauty selection, Prime Day really likes to focus all of its deals on specific brands and products.
Below, I’ve rounded up what you should consider if you want to shop smart and save a few bucks before the gift season gets into full swing.

Levi’s products are the brand that I look forward to shopping on prime day. At this point I’m stocking up on oversized but ill-fitting pairs to go with.
However, now that Shopbop’s selections are available on the platform (the luxe retailer is selling itself, by the way), brands like Frame and Pistola Denim also have deep discounts on their denim.
You can never have enough socks, white tees, or plain buttons. When it comes to the basics, I like to buy cheaper options. I don’t believe in paying more than $30 for socks that get my boots dirty, white tees that slowly get yellow holes, or button-downs that get covered in sweat.
As I browse through the chaos that is Amazon, I find dress deals that aren’t worth waiting for.

As someone who dropped a lot of money on the latest pair of sunglasses, I (and my bank account) appreciate a good deal on sunglasses.
